The Vicarage - How to get here

Old Vicarage Farm, Marrick, Richmond, North Yorkshire DL11 7LH    |    Link to Multimap »

Access is down a gated, rough but substantial farm track. All shut gates must be re-shut and the countryside code obeyed as our neighbours are working farmers who depend on the land for their living.

The hamlet of Marrick is reached either by turning off the Richmond to Leyburn Road (A6108) and then through Marske village (bearing left round the Hall) until after a long straight run on high ground you reach crossroads when you turn left across to Marrick. Alternatively, if you are arriving from the Reeth/Grinton direction leave the Reeth to Richmond Road (B6270) at Fremington (between Reeth and Grinton). At the top of the long steep hill Marrick is signposted to the right at the top. DO NOT turn down here, carry on until the crossroads referred to above and then turn right.

On just entering Marrick, take the first metalled lane on the left showing a NO THROUGH ROAD sign, drive along past the old school and then PARK LODGE when you take the private unmetalled farm track and go past the wooden sign which says NO VEHICLES FOOTPATH ONLY.

Care should be taken when driving down this track, we advise keeping to one side. Go through three fields, at the 4th field you will see the Vicarage on the right below you.

Proceed along the track until you are halfway through this last field, then you need to take the U-turn to the right and follow this track to drop down steeply to the property.
